PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glaze which is used for a ceramic product, whose used amount is decreased drastically, whose layer formed by burning is hardly separable from a base layer and whose layer has less crazing problem. SOLUTION: The glaze contains a basic glaze, a low melting frit, aluminum phosphate and/or an aluminum phosphate compound. Aluminum metaphosphate (Al(PO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>3</SB>) is preferable as the aluminum phosphate. A borosilicate frit is used as the low melting frit. As the glaze contains the aluminum phosphate and/or the aluminum phosphate compound, the glaze penetrates the base layer at glazing and is burned in a penetrating condition.
