PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for utilizing cold and its device for simplifying the structure of a cold supply system and reducing the number of constituting equipment to reduce a device cost in the cold supply system, in which refrigerant gas is liquefied by a brine supplied with the cold from a cold heat source, and refrigerant liquid is forwarded to a cooling load after storing in a liquid receiver. SOLUTION: In a cold supply means, the cold of cooling fluid is supplied to the brine by cooling the brine with the cooling fluid from the cold source, the refrigerant gas is liquefied by heat-exchanging between the brine and the refrigerant gas, the refrigerant liquid is stored in the liquid receiver, and the refrigerant liquid in the liquid receiver is forwarded to the cooling load. Part of gas mixed refrigerant liquid returned to the liquid receiver side after supplying the cooling load with the cold is heat-exchanged with the brine and afterwards returned to the liquid receiver.
