PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing component integrating connecting member and its manufacturing method capable of retaining energy absorbing performance and sufficiently improving reliability when an another component is mounted. SOLUTION: The shock absorbing component 10 integrating a bracket 30 (connecting member) is applied to a front side member 100 as one of components used for an automobile. The shock absorbing component comprises an energy absorbing body 20 made of fiber-reinforced plastic which absorbs shock energy by means of compressed destruction, the bracket 30 having a mounting flange 32 mounting a fastening portion 31 fastened on the energy absorbing body and a radiator core support 110 (another component), and a through-hole 33 passing through the fastening portion. The fastening portion is fastened on the energy absorbing body by filling up a matrix resin of the fiber-reinforced plastic into the through-hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
