<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that decreases the ambient temperature of the fixing part and sufficiently cools high-temperature paper ejected from the fixing part. <P>SOLUTION: A main body 2 of an image forming apparatus 1 houses a fixing part 10, an air flow part 20, and a paper conveyance part 30. The fixing roller 11 and the pressure roller 12 of the fixing part 10, other than a paper feed/ejection part, are covered with covers 13. The air flow part 20 includes an air passage 21, and cooling fans 22 to 25 which cause air to flow within the air passage 21. A fixing part 10 is disposed in the air passage 21. Air flowing in the air passage 21 cools the fixing part 10 and also sufficiently cools high-temperature paper ejected into the air passage 21 right after fixing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
