<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of linexpensively producing rubidium in large quantity. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprizes: a stage where dust comprising rubidium chloride (inclusion) D is leached into neutral or acidic water, and an undissolved matter is removed from a leach liquor in which rubidium is dissolved; a stage where permanganic acid ions are added to the leach liquor to precipitate the rubidium as rubidium permanganate; a stage where the precipitates are dissolved into an acidic aqueous solution, and also, a reducing agent is added thereto, so that manganese ions are produced; and a stage where the pH of the aqueous solution in which the manganese ions are produced is controlled to 9 to 11, and the manganese is precipitated as hydroxide and removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
