The present invention discloses a method for distinguishing different LANs in one mobile switching center/service switching point. This method divides each LAN in one or more LANs which are covered by the mobile switching center/service switching point into one or more location areas, and assigns one MSCID to each location aria, and wherein the assigned MSCIDs belonged to different areas are different. It Is possible for intellective users not only to roam in the different LANs or areas within one mobile switching center/service switching point, but also to solve the charging of the call among the different LANs within one mobile switching center/service switching point.
