The motor windings are supplied with current at defined rotary angle positions by switchable semiconductor devices. The rotation speed and direction of the motor is detected, and the operating voltage in the intermediate DC circuit measured. The rotation angle position during current feed to the motor windings is defined by the rotation speed of the motor.
