METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PSA USING MIXTURE OF ADSORBENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for pressure swing adsorption (PSA) using a mixture of adsorbents.

SOLUTION: This is a PSA apparatus for separating heavy components from light components in a supply flow. The apparatus includes an adsorbent bed containing a mixture of at least two kinds of adsorbents, at least one of which is relatively weak and the other of which is relatively strong. Another embodiment of this invention is a PSA preliminary purification apparatus including an adsorbent bed containing a mixture of at least two kinds of adsorbents, at least one of which is relatively strong and at least the other of which is relatively weak.
