PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new failure prediction system, failure prediction program, failure prediction method, device, printer and device management server that can accurately predict a failure in a device connected to a network.

SOLUTION: The failure prediction system comprises a plurality of devices 10 and the device management server 12 for managing the plurality of devices 10 via a network N. Each device 10 comprises a device diagnosing means 20 for diagnosing its own state and notifying the diagnosis result, and the device management server 12 comprises a failure predicting means 30 for predicting the device 10 that is liable to fail according to the diagnosis result transmitted from each device diagnosing means 20. Not only a failure due to an expected factor but also a failure due to an unexpected factor can be predicted accurately.
