<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for an FPC preventing cracks from being caused in a socket housing even if a conductive part of the FPC is aslant inserted into a terminal insertion port of the connector for the FPC. <P>SOLUTION: The socket housing 3 has a terminal insertion port 30 into which the FPC 2 is inserted, and is placed on a printed circuit board 4 which is a connecting object. Contactors 51, 52 are fixed to the socket housing 3, and the bottom of a supporting part is welded to the printed board 4. Embedded pieces 61, 71 of regulating tabs 6, 7 are faced and arranged to the socket housing 3 so that the terminal insertion port 30 is not widened in the width direction, and upper regulating pieces 62, 72 of the regulating tabs 6, 7 are faced and arranged so that the terminal insertion port 30 is not widened in the thickness direction. The thickness of the socket housing 3 is formed thick as far as possible from the end of the terminal insertion port 30, and the socket housing 3 is made stiff. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
