PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing assembly for a rotary machine. SOLUTION: This sealing assembly 120 disposed in the rotary machine 10 is disposed between the rotary component (15) and the stationary component (20) of the rotary machine. The sealing assembly comprises at least one sealing strip 30 affixed to one of the rotary and stationary components. The sealing assembly further comprises an abradable portion 55 disposed on another of the rotary and stationary components and positioned radially opposite to the sealing strip.
