PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella storing bag capable of preventing natural drop of the umbrella storing bag only when an umbrella is stored in the umbrella storing bag as the umbrella is separated from the umbrella storing bag, and a method for favorably manufacturing the umbrella storing bag. SOLUTION: This umbrella storing bag comprises a front surface side part 12, a back surface side part 14, and side edge parts 20 and 20 that are fused. The front surface side part 12 is shorter than the back surface side part 14 by sizeδ. An end part 16 of the front surface side part composes an opening part E. In a range on the inner side of the opening part E in a storing part I for storing the umbrella when it is wet, and in a range closer to the back surface side part 14, a belt 18 that is laterally extended (perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction of the umbrella storing bag) is formed in relatively small width sizeε.
