PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven allowing a power source to be turned off and on by the opening/closing operation of an opening/closing member for opening/closing the front panel of an operating panel. SOLUTION: This microwave oven comprises the operating panel 20 having a large number of operating buttons 21, the opening/closing member 30 fitted to the operating panel 20 for opening/closing the specified portion of the operating panel 20 having the operating buttons 21 fitted thereto, and a power supply switch turning off and on the power supply by the opening/closing of the opening/closing member 30.
