PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber heat sink of high reliability in moisture resistance by employing a fiber housing structure of high moisture resistance. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 301, an input optical fiber 201, and an output optical fiber 211 which are added with rare earth are arranged in an air-tight case 103. The inside of the case is filled with a hydrophobic liquid or a flexible resin 501, to suppress an arbitrary optical fiber from degrading as molecules of water in the outside air reach any optical fiber. The heat generated at the optical fibers is transmitted to the case through the hydrophobic liquid or the flexible resin, and dissipated in the outside air from the surface of the case.
