PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce time side lobes in the ultrasonic diagnostic technology using encoded signal transmission. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises a transmission means 3 and a receiving means 11. The transmission means 3 has a code modulation means 21 for modulating original signals with different codes, connecting them, generating at least four coded transmission signals, and outputting the four encoded transmission signals to a probe 1 at staggered timing. The receiving means 11 has a code demodulation means 29 for demodulating a plurality of received signals corresponding to the coded transmission signals respectively and a synthesizing means 33 for generating received signals by synthesizing the demodulated received signals.
