PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt for shoe press retaining its physical properties with high water repellency, to which foreign matter such as paper powder is scarcely stickable. SOLUTION: The belt for shoe press is such that at least one side of a substrate is laminated with a rubbery elastomer, wherein at least the uppermost-layer rubbery elastomer of the rubbery elastomer forming the wet paper side layer of this belt consists of a polyurethane elastomer obtained by blending 100pts.wt. of an NCO group-bearing polyurethane prepolymer with 3-10pts.wt. of ultra-high-molecular weight polyethylene powder having active groups such as OH and COOH groups together with a crosslinking agent having NH<SB>2</SB>or OH group to effect chemical bond formation, and the uppermost-layer rubbery elastomer is preferably≥1,000% in NBS abrasion resistance and the surface roughness(Ry) thereof is preferably≥10.
