PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of obtaining an excellent display image by suitably correcting influence of a voltage drop. SOLUTION: The image display device, equipped with a scanning means (scanning circuits 2, 2') of sequentially selecting and scanning row wires 1003 and a modulating means (modulating circuit 8) of outputting a modulated signal to be applied to column wires 1004 while the modulated signal is a pulse-width modulated voltage signal having a plurality of voltage amplitude values, has a voltage drop correcting means A of calculating correction image data Dout[I] for reducing the influence of a voltage drop caused by at least resistance of the row wire 1003, and the modulating means (modulating circuit 8) outputs the modulated signal whose pulse width and/or voltage amplitude value is expanded according to the correction image data Dout[I].
