BELT TYPE CLUTCH MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proper tension to a power transmission belt with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The base end side of a clutch arm 30 is rotatably pivoted and a clutch roller 28 is fitted to the tip end side thereof. The clutch roller 28 is disposed so as to rollingly come into contact with the power transmission belt 26 wound between a drive pulley 20 and a driven pulley 24. The clutch roller 28 is moved by the driving of an actuator 32 to controllably tense and loosen the tension of the power transmission belt 26 to control the on/off of a transmission power from the drive pulley 20 to the driven pulley 24. A manual clutch lever 74 for manually operating the clutch arm 30 is installed so that the manual clutch lever 74 can drive the actuator even at an off position to shift the clutch to on position.
