PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for efficiently compensating for a temperature drop during stop of an operation without wasting a large quantity of blow, etc., in high-temperature sterilization filling. SOLUTION: Liquid filling equipment and its operation method include a circulation passage 13 for circulating a liquid within a liquid storage tank 2. The circulation passage 13 branches off a certain point of a liquid feed passage 11 between a liquid storage tank 2 and a filler tank 7 which fills a container with the liquid. The liquid filling equipment and its operation method also includes a passage 18 which connects the circulation passage 13 and a circulation receiving tank 17 which allows inflow of a liquid present in the filler tank 7 and inflow of a liquid present in a filling passage extending to the filler tank 7 from the junction 6 of the liquid feed passage 11 and circulation passage 13. When the temperature of the liquid in the filler tank 7 has decreased to a predetermined temperature or below after the operation of the filler tank 7 is stopped, the liquid is caused to flow into the circulation receiving tank 17 under gas pressure, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
