The chain or cable lifting winch (1) has a drive housing (2) suspended from a fixed point of a support framework, provided with an opening (5) for passage of a lifting chain or cable (3), operated by a motor and fitted with a load carrier (8a), via which the lifting chain or cable can be attached to the fixed point of the support framework.
