Mattress with zones of different hardness and with different zone patterns for male and female use

An improved mattress design has zones of different hardness from head to toe and with the zone pattern different for male and female use, i.e. the zone patterns are matched to the shape and size of the average male and average female. The male version has a softer shoulder zone with 80 to 85 percent relative hardness and with the hip zone at 90 to 95 percent relative hardness. For females the shoulder zone has a relative hardness of 90 to 95 percent and the hip zone a value of85 to 90 percent. The neck, waist and knee zones have a relative hardness of 100 percent for both types of mattress. The relative spatial distribution of the zones is also matched to the average sizes of male and female bodies.
