The container section for a transporting system has a receiving section for an edge section of an encompassing side wall (16), and the receiving section has a section closing the inside of the container and overlapping openings (18) in the side wall. At least one locking device is provided adjacent to the outer wall of the receiving section or inside it and engages with a corresponding opening in the side wall. The locking device has a locking element with a locking protrusion which is located on an inner side of the preferably U-shaped receiving section.
