Method for preparing (meth)acrylate esters (I) by esterification of (meth)acrylic acid (II) or by transesterification of other (I) with an alcohol (III). Method for preparing (meth)acrylate esters (I) by esterification of (meth)acrylic acid (II) or transesterification of other (I) with an alcohol (III) in which: (a) (I) or (II) is supplied at less than 250 g/hour/l of reactor volume; and/or (b) at least 0.2 mmole polymerization inhibitor (IV) is added per kg (III), for each meq/kg of peroxide number (measured by the Sully method) of (III); and/or (c) (III) is heat treated, in absence of water, before reaction.
