HYDROGEN STORING MATERIAL, HYDROGEN STORAGE DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HYDROGEN STORING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storing material capable of keeping hydrogen storing capability equal to that of a raw material by solidifying a powder carbonaceous material without giving adding or heating treatment to a binder.

SOLUTION: The hydrogen storing material contains a fiber carbonaceous material and the powder carbonaceous material which are mixed at such a mixture ratio that a content X(wt%) of the fiber carbonaceous material has a relationship a>b to hydrogen storing capability a(wt%) of the powder carbonaceous material and hydrogen storing capability b(wt%) of the fiber carbonaceous material and the content X of the fiber carbonaceous material is 20% or more and 20+80(b/a)% or less. The mixture at the mixture ratio with the content of fiber carbon being 20+80(b/a)% or less permits a powder carbon material to be formed into a thin film or solid while keeping hydrogen storing capability at 80% or more of that of the powder carbonaceous material.
