<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use environment for content data that a copyrighter side intends while preventing illegal contents from being recorded and illegal contents from being reproduced by adding information which makes it possible to detect contents illegally being distributed or recorded to electronic watermark information or other equivalent information. <P>SOLUTION: A data receiving and recording device 2 decides embedded data embedded in digital music data received through a network and does not record the received digital music data when the digital music data received through the network are not allowed to be distributed. Further, when the received digital music data are allowed to be distributed and setting contents of duplication management information included in the embedded data are information showing that data are allowed to be copied only by one generation, the duplication management information of the embedded data is rewritten into information indicating duplication inhibition and then the digital music data are recorded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
