<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly safe agent for treating bone diseases, usable for prophylaxis and therapy of a disease caused by inflammatory osteoclasia such as chronic rheumatoid arthritis and periodontal diseases, and metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis; and to obtain an agent for inhibiting the formation of osteoclast in vivo or in vitro. <P>SOLUTION: The agent for treating the bone diseases contains a glycoconjugate having sulfonated fucose in the structure and/or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.
