PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus which properly performs vibration removing control for vibration in a necessary scene while improving durability of the apparatus, and its control method and program. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a vibration removing control executing command for instructing the execution of vibration removing control command is inputted. As the result of determination, if the vibration removing control command is inputted, the vibration isolation control is executed. The execution time of the vibration removing control is measured. On the basis of a video signal of the photographing apparatus during the time of the execution elapses a predetermined time, the vibration removing control is further continued after the predetermined time has elapsed.
