<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the freshness of cut flowers and vegetables. <P>SOLUTION: A porcelain generating source is produced by using a very weakly irradiating mineral or far-infrared light-irradiating mineral as a raw material, mixing it with clay after being processed as powder, burning and forming as a prescribed shape, or putting it into a container formed from a resin. Depending upon the raw materials used, a white-colored spherical formed ceramic or a black-colored disc-shaped formed ceramic is produced, and it is placed on the bottom of a container such as a vase, as a generating source of minus ions and far-infrared light.
