PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an NB<SB>3</SB>Sn wire rod realizing the manufacture of Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn wire rod having high superconductive characteristics by removing extra constituting elements in Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn to be manufactured. SOLUTION: A precursor wire rod having extra fine multi-core structure containing an Nb/Sn-Bi micro-composite filament comprising an Sn-Bi alloy containing Nb and 5 at% or less Bi in Cu which is a matrix material is heated at 625-900°C for 2-400 hours in a heating furnace to diffuse and react the micro-composite filament in the extra fine multi-core structure, and to convert into the Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn filament.
