PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a high-capacity HDD as a portable recording medium. SOLUTION: A PHD unit 1 writes/reads data with a host device 4 in an adapter 2 loaded state. The PHD unit 1 writes/reads data with a host device 6 in the state of being mounted on a cradle 3. Then, the first connector 10 of the PHD unit 1 side is attached in a half-fixed state. On the other hand, the second connectors 43, 64 of the adapter 2 side and the cradle 3 side are attached in a fixed state.
