PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for managing the interruption and the restart of a thread in an individual base. SOLUTION: An OS kernel transmits a thread stop signal to a target thread in response to a request from the thread for interrupting the execution of the target thread and a control in the target thread is moved from a normally executing program part to a signal interruption routine. The signal interruption routine, when obtaining the control, sends a service request to the kernel to stop the target thread. In response to the request from the thread for restarting the execution of the target thread, the OS kernel transmits a thread continuation signal to the target thread, posts the waiting target thread and returns the control to the signal interruption routine.
