PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the necessity of considering an application environment or resource for editing a file on a client side. SOLUTION: In this resource management device comprising a WWW server and a resource management program operated thereon, the resource management program comprises a resource editing processing part, a resource information listing processing part, a resource information registration/changing processing part, and an editing application group. The resource editing processing part starts a predetermined editing program for every resource, transmits a file editing screen to the client side, and updates the content of a resource by the data inputted by a user. The resource information listing processing lists all resources on a resource information listing screen on the basis of information of a resource information accumulation part for every system unit affiliated therewith, and transmits the screen to the client side.
