The bicycle pedal removal tool incorporates an open- ended spanner (31) engaging the hexagonal head (31) of a first bolt (30). A nut (40) has a female thread engaging the male thread on the bolt and has a large diameter outer portion with a male thread (41) and a smaller hexagonal portion. The male thread may engage with a female thread on the pedal a small bolt (54) with a flat head (541) and a shaft (542) fits into a stepped bore (53) in a pusher (50) which can engage the pedal mounting. The small bolt fits into a blind bore in the end of the first bolt.
