<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously change recording and reproducing conditions, for example, a recording pulse strategy, recording power, reproducing power, etc., in accordance with a recording layer for recording or reproducing information in a one-side incident type optical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A control part reads layer information from one recording layer of an optical recording medium where the layer information is respectively recorded on a plurality of recording layers on/from which information can be recorded or reproduced by the irradiation of a laser beam from one side (layer information reading step) and makes control so as to perform recording or reproduction on a recording/reproduction condition that corresponds to a recording layer specified by the layer information (recording control step). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
