<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image matched with the traveling location of a motor vehicle, to prevent the image displayed on a monitor screen from differing from scenery outside the motor vehicle, and to display an accurate image corresponding to a location indicated by a user when the user verifies surrounding scenery to a destination by displaying the image on the monitor screen. <P>SOLUTION: At every road link between intersections, a medium crating part 1 for recording map/scenery dynamic images converts static images of scenery in the periphery of the motor vehicle photographed at every prescribed distance from an intersection into scenery dynamic images and records them in a map/scenery dynamic image recording medium 16. Through the use of this, this navigation system 21 captures scenery dynamic images of a road link corresponding to a road in which the motor vehicle is traveling, converts them into static images at every prescribed distance from an intersection, and sequentially displays on a monitor the static images corresponding to every prescribed distance travelled by the motor vehicle from the intersection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
