<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument which realizes muting through simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: When a fret operation element 35 arranged on a fingerboard part 16 is depressed, a pitch switch part 3 outputs a corresponding pitch signal. An engagement part 51e of a string-like operation element 51e engages a fitting member 14 incorporated in an operation element holding part protection part 12 and a key-on and level detection part outputs a 1st trigger signal determining sounding timing to a sound source part 77 in response to string snapping by a string-like operation element 51. On a 1st surface 12a of the operation element holding part protection part 12, a mute fingerboard part 13 is exposed and arranged closely to an operated part end 51ep of the string-like operation element 51e. When the operated part end part comes into contact with the mute fingerboard part 13, a mute detection part 5b outputs a 2nd trigger signal for muting all strings and a muting circuit part 78 lowers the level of the musical sound of the output signal of the sound source part 77 by a specified value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
