PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tachometer pointer instrument having an electromechanical driving body which is similar in cost to the conventional mechanical techniques but is significantly superior in function to the conventional techniques. SOLUTION: A tachometer pointer instrument for motorbikes is provided with a housing having a housing base 32 and a housing cover at least partially clear, a pointer driving module 34 received in the housing base 32, and a number dial viewable through the housing cover. The pointer driving module 34 has a stepping motor 36 arranged on a common print circuit board 42, a control electronic device 38 and a display device 40.
