PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball striking side structure providing the same sensation of striking a ball thereon as or similar to one in an actual course. SOLUTION: The ball striking side structure comprises a recess 1 formed in the vicinity of the ball striking site S of a golf practice range E, a golf practice mat M extractably fitted into the recess 1 and in which a soil 4 is stored in a box 3 and a natural turf 2 is planted in the soil 4. The plane view shape of the recess 1 and the depth H are nearly equal to the plane view shape of the golf practice mat M and the thickness T. With the golf exercise mat M fitted into the recess 1, the sideline 2a of the natural turf 2 of the golf practice mat M forms a nearly continuously flat surface with the ground J in the vicinity of the ball striking site S around the recess 1.
