PHOTOCATALYST COMPOSITION AND PHOTOCATALYST BODY FORMED FROM THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalyst composition capable of obtaining a photocatalyst body and a functional composite with excellent durability having a surface exhibiting controlling ability of wetting property (hydrophilic property, hydrophobic property) of water and/or photocatalytic activity by irradiation of light for a long period of time without generating deterioration of an interface between an organic base material and the photocatalyst body and deterioration of the photocatalyst body itself without requiring a complicated step. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst composition is constituted from a modified photocatalyst (A) obtained by modifying/treating a photocatalyst particle (a) using at least one kind of a modifying agent compound (b) selected from the group consisting of compounds having at least one kind of structure unit selected from the group consisting of a tri-organo silane unit, a mono-oxy di-organo silane unit, a di-oxy organo silane unit and a methylene fluoride (-CF2-) unit; and a binder component (B) containing a polysilazane compound (B).
