PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display component which has a luminous function with low cost and in which a cost load for power supply at the time of use is a little and a display installation in which the display component is used. SOLUTION: The display component can be obtained by arranging a translucent plastic film or a high polymer film or a steel plate on which characters and figures are displayed on the luminescent surface of a face-shaped luminous body consisting of EL (Electroluminescent) elements. Moreover, the display component can use an electric power source from the outside, solar panels and a rechargeable battery which stores the electric power generated with the solar panels as a power source.
