PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire mesh buffer capable of preventing the dropping of wire mesh chips, straggling of wire mesh, and tangling of wire mesh buffers to each other caused by the straggling of wire mesh. SOLUTION: This wire mesh buffer is manufactured by winding back each of both end parts of a cylindrical wire mesh to an outer side, and then axially compressing and molding the same. The wire mesh buffer may be manufactured by winding back each of the both end parts of the cylindrical wire mesh, then reversing an outer face and an inner face, and then axially compressing and molding the same. The wire mesh buffer may be manufactured by changing the compressing direction from the axial direction to the radial direction. Further the compression molding is performed to achieve the molding density within a range of 0.4 g/cm<SP>3</SP>to 5.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
