PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of breaking a wand in flooding when there is a clearance between a projection part and side plate parts even if a water flow slow wand is formed by forming the projection part on a bottom surface of a concrete block for a waterway. SOLUTION: This concrete block 2 for the waterway is composed of a bottom plate part 2a and a pair of side plate parts 2b, and constitutes a concrete waterway by connecting a plurality, and is provided with an earth retaining block 3 composed of a blocking-up/stopping plate part 3a for blocking up/stopping water by abutting on both the bottom plate part 2a and the side plate parts 2b and a boundary plate part 3b for forming a boundary between a downstream slow flow part and a quick flow part of the blocking-up/stopping plate part 3a.
