PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure for the large displacement ground and a structure supported thereby for coping even with ground subsidence, reducing bearing reaction to the foundation ground, having the base isolation function, and easily performing maintenance of a bearing part when arranging the structure on the weak ground. SOLUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 2 is fixably arranged on a pier column 1 by a fixing device 5 on the upper end inside of the column 1. A pivot bearing 6, an MR damper 12, elastic rubber 7, a fluororesin sliding material 8 and a sliding bearing composed of a resin-coated steel plate 9 are successively arranged on the upper end of the hydraulic cylinder 2.
