The gap cover between a boot floor (1) and rear seat arrangement (2) of a vehicle has a pivotable flap element (3,3') the hinge axis (4) of which is located in the region of the front section of the boot floor with regard to the vehicle's longitudinal direction. The hinge axis is located on a boot cover which covers the boot at right angles to the vehicle's longitudinal direction in the region of the front section. The flap element is pivotably connected to the cover by its edge section facing the boot floor.
