The cylinder has a squeegee arranged radially inside a screen. A support element extends axial along a curved area of the cylinder and receives pressure from the squeegee exerted radially outwards through the screen as the section passes in front of the squeegee. The support element may be arranged radially outside or inside the screen and preferably has leading and trailing edges formed at an angle to the cylinder surface.
