REMOTE POINTING SYSTEM USING IMAGE SENSOR HAVING GENERAL INFRARED RAY REMOTE CONTROL COMMUNICATION FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A remote pointing system using an image sensor having a general infrared ray remote control communication function is provided to use a remote control like a mouse of a computer, thereby directly executing a function selected by pointing. CONSTITUTION: A pointing light module(450) emits light at a random distance. A pointing image sensor module(200) receives an optical signal from the pointing light module(450). The pointing image sensor module(200) has an optical filter(240) for receiving the optical signal having a wavelength in a specific range, and an optical lens(230) having a finite focal characteristic and installed at a rear end of the optical filter(240). A constant current circuit(470) is connected with a light source(456) of a specific wavelength range for driving the light source(456) at a certain current. A switch device(480) turns on and off the light source(456). An optical filter(455) is installed in a front of the light source(456) for passing an optical signal of a specific wavelength range only.
