PURPOSE: A method for appointed recording of a PVR is provided to confirm overlapped time and simply change appointed recording time without comparing a plurality of appointed recording information one by one. CONSTITUTION: A PVR(Personal Video Recorder) receives new appointed recording information(S10). The PVR judges whether the newly inputted appointed recording information is overlapped with the existing appointed recording information(S20). If not, the new appointed recording information is registered(S90). If so, an overlapped form and overlapped time are calculated(S30). The priority is set between the overlapped appointed recording information according to the overlapped form and overlapped time(S50,S60,S70,S80). Time of appointed recording information having the lower priority is changed based on the appointed recording information having the higher priority(S65,S75,S85). The changed appointed recording information having the lower priority is registered.
