PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for correcting a printing error are provided to reflect an error distance to an operation of a feed roller by detecting the error distance with respect to a moving distance of a printing paper. CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether or not an end of a printing paper is separated from a feed roller(10). If the end of a printing paper is separated from the feed roller, the printing paper is moved by a half of a width of a printer head(12). Then, a reference line is printed by spraying ink with a predetermined interval(14). After that, the printing paper is again moved by a half of a width of the printer head(16). Comparing lines are printed by spraying ink from nozzles(18). Then, an error distance between the comparing line and the reference line is detected(20). After that, a moving distance of the printing paper is corrected based on the error distance(22).
