PURPOSE: A drum-type washing machine is provided to prevent an outer cover from bumping against a water pipe projected along a wall to introduce the water into the washing machine and to favorably open and close the outer cover. CONSTITUTION: A drum-type washing machine(1) is composed of a drum for rotating about a rotary shaft set within the predetermined angle for the horizontal direction; an opening unit(4) formed around the drum to take in and out the laundry; a body(2) for receiving the drum, having an input port formed at the upside to take in and out the laundry with corresponding to the drum, and dividing the external shape of the washing machine; and a slide cover(31) slid along the input port to open and close the input port. The upside of the body has an oblique surface inclined downward to the front side. The input port is opened from the front side of the oblique surface to the upper rear side.
