PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to conveniently repair and replace a compressor and a condenser in a machine room, and to prevent breakage of the machine room cover by keeping the machine room cover open with a supporting bar after opening the machine room cover by turning. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a body(10) in which a storage chamber(11) is formed; a machine room(30) installed in the upper part of the storage chamber in the body and opened forward; a machine room cover(40) hinge-combined with the body and turned to open the machine room; and a support bar(50) hinge-combined with the machine room of the body and supported in the machine room cover for keeping the machine room cover open. The machine room cover is opened by the support bar in inserting the end of the support bar to a fitting groove(42) of the machine room cover.
